He Yu and Meng Zi Yi play a Crown Prince and a Northwest Princess in Blossoms of Power
Upcoming Zhong Qing-directed drama Blossoms of Power only wrapped up its filming in August, so my guess is it will be a fair while before it streams.
But that won’t stop Tencent Video from promoting the He Yu and Meng Zi Yi-led drama as often as they can until then.
Case in point, today’s announcement that Blossoms of Power has now exceeded 1 million pre-orders, while it is still very likely to be close to a year at the earliest before the C-drama actually releases.
The 1 million pre-orders achievement, which was promoted on Tencent’s social media today, came with a poster of the two leads, with He Yu as Crown Prince Xiao Huayong and Meng Zi Yi as Princess Zhao Ning, Shen Xi He, and the comment:

Blossoms of Power is being directed by the previously mentioned Zhong Qing, a director who obviously has a thing for blossoms as he is also the director of 2024’s In Blossom and the upcoming Blossom in Darkness as well.

It features Fan Shuai Qi (Guardians of the Dafeng), Lai Wei Ming (Shine on Me), Zhou Zhi Wei (The Perfect Suspect), and Zeng Li (When Destiny Brings the Demon) in its supporting cast.
The Blossoms of Power plot is described like this by Baidu Baike:
Crown Prince Xiao Hua Yong (played by He Yu) appears sickly but is actually a man of great wisdom and ambition. At the age of six, he was poisoned and betrayed, forcing him to lie low and secretly investigate villains, discovering and nurturing promising talents to inject fresh blood into the court.
