It seems no time to me since Zhang Ruo Nan and Wang An Yu‘s I Live in Your Time kicked off its filming (February 13th) and, here we are already, filming has just wrapped, ending ceremony photos have dropped and, with it being a contemporary drama, we will likely be getting its premiere early in 2027 (it’s on iQIYI’s schedule for next year).
Something I’m intrigued by as, while she was severely miscast in Zhan Zhao Adventures, Zhang Ruo Nan is usually a great watch and I loved Wang An Yu in his recent role in The Miracles.
Plus, the rest of the cast is a solid group, and the plot sounds interesting.
After all, it’s not every day we get a contemporary romance between a TV producer and an antique clock restorer, now is it?

And, just to go back to the iQIYI drama’s plot for a second, if you are as tired of romance plots taking place between executives in a major corporation as I am, this one may (and I say “may” with fingers crossed) offer something different.
The plot looks like this:
The story follows Shen Qian Zhan (played by Zhang Ruo Nan) a driven but struggling producer, and Ji Qing He (Wang An Yu), a master antique clock restorer. Five years ago, Shen Qian Zhan accidentally walked into Ji Qing He’s life, leading him to fall for her at first sight. Although they went their separate ways, he never forgot her.
They reunite when Shen Qian Zhan needs the rights to a novel titled “Time” for her latest project, only to discover that Ji Qing He now holds the key to her success. Although he pretends to be indifferent, Ji Qing He secretly wants to win her back and deliberately pulls her into a slow, strategic romance.
As they grow closer, they must let go of their “adult” personas and heal old wounds, all set against the backdrop of intangible cultural heritage.
See, sure it’s somewhat of a same-old-same-old romance plot, but at least it takes place in a completely different environment than we normally get, right?
And, as I grew up in a household laden with antiques, all I can say is clocks, eh!??!!!!

It will probably be a while before we get much else in the promo department, though, as it’s eight or nine months, at the earliest, before its first episodes drop.
