As a fan of both Legend of Zang Hai and Xiao Zhan himself, I must admit I have been downloading just about every visual dropped, both from official channels and from other fans who love the Chinese actor’s work as much as I do.
And today was what I call an excellent day, as we got a slew of what YOUKU is calling “Legend of Zang Hai easter egg posters”.
They came out via the official YOUKU Weibo account and, yep, like everything else that has been released for this latest Xiao Zhan series, they are a powerful visual illustration of the magnificence we have been experiencing with this superb Chinese drama series. And really beautiful.
Along with the 11 posters, a message says:
“The identity of the masked man is revealed! Have you discovered it?”
(And don’t spoil it for me, as I am only six episodes in so have a long way to go before I figure out all the intricacies of this beautifully written, directed and acted Chinese drama!)

The Weibo post also reminds fans the C-drama is streaming on YOUKU.
For VIP subscribers, that currently means you can now watch up to Episode 35, while Episodes 36 to 40 are only available through Express payment.
Not that paying for the final few episodes seems to have negatively affected the popularity of the C-drama.
After all, Legend of Zang Hai is still the #1 trending drama internationally on the platform at the moment, as well as the most popular drama in China.

The Chinese historical mystery drama is directed by Zheng Xiao Long (Always on the Move), and written by Zhao Liu Yi (Reunion: The Sound of the Providence).
It stars Xiao Zhan (The Untamed), Zhang Jing Yi (Blossoms in Adversity), Zhou Qi (White Cat Legend), and Huang Jue (Ode to Joy).
The C-drama premiered on May 18th and ended its run yesterday, June 3rd, 2025 when its last episodes dropped.
Legend of Zang Hai hits a 40.1% market share.
And, by the way, to show how incredibly popular Legend of Zang Hai is in China, it has just been announced (along with a celebratory poster — below) that the drama achieved a 40.1% market share in YunHe’s effective play statistics! (*YunHe is a Chinese drama analytics service).
That means it is, certifiably, one of the most successful Chinese dramas of 2025 so far.
Crazy, eh!!
