The new Duan Yi Hong and Qin Hao drama ‘The Narcotic Operation‘ has released a new poster, while also naming the Chinese drama’s director, co-director and screenwriter.
Its main purpose, though, was to celebrate the hardcore mystery crime-themed drama’s 500,000 reservations on Tencent Video, and to remind C-drama fans its on its way soon.
The message released with the poster via Tencent’s Weibo page says:

And no, Tencent has not yet announced The Narcotic Operation‘s premiere date, but rumor in China is that it’s dropping soon.
We do, however, have a synopsis for the Chinese drama that makes this one look like it will be one of the grittier Chinese dramas this year:
In 1995, anti-drug policeman Lin Qiang Feng (played by Duan Yi Hong) is transferred to the Westport Anti-Narcotics Detachment to trace drug clues.
Smuggler Liu Shao Hua (played by Qin Hao) comes into contact with methamphetamine by chance, and the huge profits from the drug persuade him to become a drug maker.
Under the full pursuit of Lin Qiang Feng and other anti-drug police, the drug dealers involved in the case in Xigang City are arrested one by one, leaving only Liu Shao Hua attempting to evade the police.
A year later, Lin Qiang Feng once again confiscates Liu Shao Hua’s drugs in an attempt to make a comeback.
Liu Shao Hua, who is now desperate, can only hide while planning his revenge.
