iQIYI legal-themed mystery drama Justifiable Defense (正当防卫) premieres tomorrow, July 9th, so, of course, it was time today for another promo poster to drop. A poster iQIYI is calling a ‘Glow-in-the-Dark breakthrough poster‘.
The latest Justifiable Defense poster features the C-drama’s main leads — Edward Zhang, Gao Ye and Bai Jing Ting — obviously all involved in a high-profile court case.
It’s one of a number of posters that have been released for the 15-episode crime drama over the last couple of weeks, along with several character visuals that came out a couple of days ago.
This time, the newest Justifiable Defense poster arrived with a quick comment from iQIYI.

They also reminded Chinese drama fans that Justifiable Defense is an iQIYI exclusive, so make sure to reserve it.
Justifiable Defense is directed by Li Yun Liang (Judge Dee’s Mystery), and co-written by Jia Dong Yan and Wu Yao, who also wrote The Legend of Heroes, Under the Skin and Siege in Fog together.
It tells the story of two prosecutors who, while investigating a domestic violence case, realize it may be connected to a different case that occurred over 14 years ago.
An in-depth trailer for the Chinese crime drama came out late last year and, if you enjoy a truly gripping thriller, this one looks like it could just be a banger.
