It was pretty obvious to me the new Chinese youth drama Our Generation would be a big hit after it had earned over 3.5 million reservations on YOUKU right before it premiered on July 14th.
That’s why, when YOUKU announced the C-drama had already hit 9,000 on their heat index earlier today, just two days after the Chinese drama premiered, I wasn’t remotely surprised either.
After all, youth romance dramas tend to be pretty popular and, with this one starring The Best Thing’s Zhang Ling He alongside The Princess Royal star Zhao Jin Mai, it was just about guaranteed to be a hit before the first episodes even dropped.
With today’s announcement Our Generation has climbed to 9,000 on their heat index — a milestone that means the show is one of that streaming platform’s most successful and most popular — YOUKU released another sweet poster featuring the C-drama’s two leads and commented:

Our Generation is not streaming on YOUKU International, unfortunately, but you can watch it via Viki with three episodes out so far. (Yep, Viki is behind YOUKU in releasing new episodes).
Netflix is also streaming the C-drama in some regions.
