Upcoming Chinese crime thriller Persona finally has a premiere date, and it’s very soon — October 26th on Tencent Video (and likely on WeTV internationally at the same time).
And yep, this one has been a long time coming since its first poster was released back in June, 2023, and then little information has been forthcoming since.
The Cdrama stars Gao Ye (star of Justifiable Defense), Chen Jin Ke (who recently starred in the absolutely superb war-themed drama The Long Way Back), and Zheng Kai (Blossoms Shanghai), with Tencent Video informing viewers the crime-themed drama is on its way with a new poster featuring the four main characters, and a confirmation of its leading cast:

Persona‘s plot sounds exciting as it follows the story of a murder, but a murder that may not actually have occurred at all:
A year ago, a vendetta occurred in the small northern town of Chencang, in which the murderer Qin Hong absconded; a year later, when the police “discovered” Qin Hong in the south, her body had been dumped into the sea by her boyfriend Ma Weicheng, and no bones remained.It was a case with both personal and physical evidence, and the murderer had even confessed the facts of the crime, but the disappearance of the body without a trace made the detective in charge, Liu Wang, uneasy. After all, without any body “Is Qin Hong really dead?”
