The short 6-episode C-drama Duet in Blue (aka 虽然不能同时拥有一切) officially began filming today, with photographs of the lead and guest stars at the booting ceremony dropping via iQIYI’s socials.
The Chinese mini series stars Dilraba Dilmurat (Sword Rose) and Edward Chen (The First Frost), and with a guest and supporting cast that includes Yan Yi Kuan (The Seven Relics of Ill Omen), Cecilia Yip (The Brightest of Us), Xu Meng Jie (Fancy Land), Zhang Rui Han (Footprints of Change), He Qui (The Princess Royal) and Chang Hua Sen (Blood River).

iQIYI confirmed the main and guest stars, as well as female director (love it when we get one of those!) Wu Chenjue (Inside No.9: Behind the Curtain), and screenwriters Lu Wenying and Wang Yiyu.
As you’d expect, it’s being produced by iQIYI with a Chinese title that translates to something like ‘Although We Can’t Have Everything At Once’.
The Chinese production company/streaming service also talked about the plot in a social media post saying:
When two destinies intertwine like poetry through the lens, this wondrous encounter is coming our way.

Not much has been released about the plot as yet, but Baidu Baike explains it with this:
The series focuses on the fantasy journey of “me” and the other “me” in the world, exploring the proposition of whether life can be re-chosen.
Sound interesting, right?
And yes, the filming schedule on this one is short, as it is only six episodes long.
(Update, December 15th: Duet in Blue ended its filming today and dropped wrap photos).
