With the last episodes of the Tencent Video drama Legend of the Female General dropping earlier today, is anyone shocked that female lead He Yan, played by Zhou Ye, has now surpassed 50 million in character popularity points on the platform?
From the immense interest the drama and the leads have garnered, both in China and internationally, I know I am definitely not.
The news that He Yan had exceeded 50 million in character popularity was announced by Tencent this morning on their Weibo account, with a pretty visual of He Yan (aka Zhou Ye) and the comment:

Although, frankly, as she is already one of the most talked-about Chinese drama characters of this entire summer, I doubt they even have to.
