The Hunt (aka 命悬一生) gets new official poster
The gritty Chinese murder mystery The Hunt has dropped a new poster as it, hopefully, heads closer to its release.
The latest The Hunt poster features all the thriller’s lead characters in a vibrant visual that hints at a lot of heart ache and angst to follow.
Accompanying the C-drama’s latest poster, iQIYI commented:
The intertwined crimes and the suspense are endless. A group of people, a string of lies, a life-and-death game under the maze of human nature.

The Hunt ended its filming back on January 3rd of this year, and is currently named on iQIYI’s 2025 dramas list, which is a hopeful sign at least.
C-drama The Hunt‘s plot
The plot of The Hunt (aka 命悬一生 or Life Hangs on the Line) looks like this (and, if you love a drama full of suspense, this one sounds like it will be a banger):
Ni Xiang Dong (played by Yin Fang) receives a request from his friend Cao Xiao Jun (Bai Yu Fan) to transport a wooden box to an abandoned cabin on a desolate mountain, only to discover that the box contains Cao Xiao Jun’s corpse.
Cao Xiao Jun’s wife, Wu Xi Mei (Li Geng Xi), reports her husband missing and subtly implies that Ni Xiang Dong is involved. However, as a witness, Wu Xi Mei’s statements are inconsistent, and the child she shares with Cao Xiao Jun is not biologically his.
Under persistent police questioning, Wu Xi Mei is forced to recount the past involving the three of them. The three were once close friends, with Wu Xi Mei and Ni Xiang Dong in a relationship. When Ni Xiang Dong refused to take responsibility for the child, Cao Xiao Jun stepped in and took her away to raise the child together.
During the investigation, the police further discover that Wu Xi Mei’s child is not biologically related to Ni Xiang Dong either. Moreover, opinions about Ni Xiang Dong are sharply divided: people from his hometown describe him as utterly wicked, while his coworkers say he is kind-hearted and even financially supports an elderly man named Xu.
Veteran officer Meng Chao, along with rookie Tong Hao, follows the trail of the crime from the northern coast to the dense forests of the south and, along the way, unearth a serial murder scheme.
