The Chinese war-themed romance drama Legend of the Female General only premiered today on Tencent Video in China, and WeTV internationally, and it has already exceeded 23000 on the Tencent heat index.
The popular Chinese streaming service released a poster (above) celebrating the drama’s popularity a few hours ago.

It features main leads Zhou Ye (Back from the Brink) who plays He Yan, and Ryan Cheng (aka Cheng Lei) (My Journey to You) who plays Xiao Jue.
Tencent also commented about the C-drama’s success:

Legend of the Female General airs exclusively on Tencent Video daily at 20:00 (Beijing Time).
The Chinese wuxia drama premiered this morning on WeTV internationally, with four episodes streaming for VIP subscribers, and Episode 5 available for those willing to pay for Express access.

Episodes 5 and 6 will drop tomorrow for VIP subscribers, with Express viewers also getting access to Episode 7.
Legend of the Female General is likely to continue its success even higher than the 23000 on the heat index it has already earned as well, as Tencent announced earlier today that 4.5 million people reserved it before it even premiered.
