The third installment in the Duel on Mount Hua prequel to C-drama The Legend of Heroes premiered on Tencent Video and WeTV earlier today.
Called Duel on Mount Hua: Southern Emperor and Northern Beggar, the series is just eight episodes so, like the previous two installments, a pretty quick watch.
That being said, like the previous installments, not all eight episodes have been released today for every viewer but, instead, will be released over a few days period.
Unless, of course, you are one of those viewers willing to pay extra to watch certain episodes via Tencent/WeTV’s ‘Express or SVIP’ program.

Lock in @Tencent Video for the exclusive broadcast on the entire network. SVIP members can watch the unit finale first, while regular VIP members will be updated with 2 new episodes every day at 18:00. (Beijing Time)
In other words, the release schedule for Southern Emperor and Northern Beggar looks like this (see visual for clarification):
August 5th — Non-VIP subscribers can watch Episode 1 for free, while VIP subscribers can watch Episodes 1 and 2, and SVIP/Express subscribers get access to Episodes 1 thru 8 immediately.
August 6th — VIP subscribers get access to Episodes 3 and 4
August 7th — VIP subscribers get access to Episodes 5 and 6
August 8th — VIP subscribers get access to Episodes 7 and 8
