Zhang Yi Shan and Elvis Han’s new Republican-era drama The Guardians nicely hit 6,000 on YOUKU’s heat index yesterday (see celebratory visual below) and now, just 24 hours later, has exceeded 7,000 on the heat index with just 8 episodes out.
The latest milestone for the Chinese historical crime drama was announced on YOUKU’s Weibo account earlier today with another cool visual — this time featuring Zhang Yi Shan and Zhang Tian Ai — and a message from YOUKU saying:

The Chinese drama is currently streaming Episodes 1 through 8 via YOUKU, with Episode 9 available for an extra payment via the platform’s TVOD program.
Two new episodes drop daily, with a projected ending date of October 9th, 2025.
