With the sequel to the 2016 tomb raiding drama The Mystic Nine — The Mystic Nine Against the Coming Storm obviously on its way soon, we just got another poster dropping today, and a new trailer (below).
This time the poster is titled ‘Nine Gates Fate Decided‘ and features all the main cast as their characters, along with YOUKU confirming the Chinese drama’s director, lead and guest cast.

Now, I am embarrassed to say, the original The Mystic Nine drama has been on my watch list for a long time but, with it being 48 episodes and so many other dramas still to watch, I have been putting it off.

Looks like then, with this superb of a cast, and with the wonderful William Chan back recreating his character for its sequel, I need to get my rear in gear and check this off my watch list.
Especially as, from the just-released latest trailer for The Mystic Nine Against the Storm, I know epic is an overused word, but this one certainly looks like that.
I will keep you in the loop as information drops about its premiere date, with word out of China saying to expect a Summer 2026 release — so yep, coming soon. When it does, it will be a YOUKU release.
