PLOT
In the eleventh year of Chengkang, Jiang Xu (played by Song Wei Long), Prince of Dingbei who has been guarding the frontier for eight years, returns to the Daxian Dynasty to investigate the embezzlement of military funds intended for his army. Unexpectedly, the corruption case has far-reaching implications.
To quickly uncover the mastermind behind it and purge the court, Jiang Xu volunteers to marry Ming Tan (played by Bao Shang En), who also comes from a military family, in order to prevent the Ming family from being exploited.
As the conspiracy gradually unravels, Jiang Xu discovers that the embezzlement is tied to the economic lifeline of the entire Daxian Dynasty. He has to take drastic measures to uproot everyone involved in the court.
However, the Ming family fall victim to false accusations as a result of Jiang Xu’s thorough investigation, leading to their ruin.
Jiang Xu works to clear the Ming family’s name, and through their shared hardships, he and Ming Tan developed genuine feelings for each other. Joining forces, they resolved to dismantle the opposing forces completely.
