Plot Synopsis
The Mystic Nine: Against the Coming Storm is the highly anticipated continuation of The Mystic Nine universe, adapted from the Daomu Biji (Grave Robbers’ Chronicles) novel world by Nanpai Sanshu (Kennedy Xu).
While The Mystic Nine (2016) followed the iconic nine powerful families of Changsha as they faced mysterious threats and tomb-raiding dangers, this new chapter (also referred to as The Treasured Bajia Book on MDL) brings the nine gates together again against a looming crisis hinted at in early teasers: “The Xiang River is surging with the coming of a mountain storm, and the road is covered with thorns.”
Though no official full plot synopsis has been published yet, this poetic description suggests a new large-scale conflict and perilous journey that will once again test the unity and resolve of the Mystic Nine.
