Character posters show off the C-drama’s ambience
I’m here to tell you today is a good day when the upcoming wuxia fantasy drama Love Beyond the Grave has dropped four character posters for the C-drama’s main actors — Dilraba Dilmurat, Arthur Chen, Miles Wei and Zhang Li. – and, man, do these things look epic.
The posters feature each actor wearing flowing robes, and brandishing a specific weapon – whether it’s a sword, whip, fan or magic — and do a beautiful job of showing off the C-drama’s threatening ambience. Just look at those costumes!
(Update, March 19th — We also got 20 character visuals of all the main actors this week and, yep, the costumes will make a big impact).
The Chinese drama itself has still not received an official premiere date, but with more promo pieces dropping recently, my guess is it’s pretty likely it will be soon.
Particularly as the chatter from netizens in China right now is that we can probably expect the C-drama to premiere next month (March)

The latest Love Beyond the Grave character posters to promote the series were released on Tencent’s social media accounts this week, along with a hint about its plot:
The lantern breaks through thousands of obstacles, and the sword returns thousands of miles;
The lonely shadow reflects the long night, and the chivalrous bones protect the world.
Love Beyond the Grave stars Dilraba Dilmurat and Arthur Chen, with Miles Wei, Zhang Li, Gao Han, Yang Xi Zi, Liu Dong Qin, Zhao Yi Qin, Gu Zi Cheng, Ding Jia Wen, Yan Bi Guo and Xue Ba Yi in supporting roles.
Now, I would not say Dilraba always has the best chemistry with her co-stars, as she doesn’t seem to be able to create it if they can’t. But, as Arthur Chen just proved what fire hot chemistry looks like with his role as Sima Jiao in When Destiny Brings the Demon, I have no qualms in saying theirs should be blazing.
Even with the so-called “age gap” (something that drives me mad when so-called “fans” whitter on about an “age gap being too big” between two actors), I don’t think Chen will have any problem giving back as good as he gets.
The difference in their ages is because Arthur Chen is 25 and Dilraba is 33. His performances, though, always seem to be coming from an actor quite a bit older, as I have yet to see him star in anything where he seems “young”.

As for filming, it officially wrapped on February 3rd, 2025, over a year ago, but we are still waiting for an announcement of a distribution license having been issued.
That lack of license is currently partially behind the rumor in China that Love Beyond the Grave will be premiering on March 28th.

As Chinese rumors tend to be more right than wrong, my guess then is we will probably see the C-drama’s first episodes drop around that time.
I will let you know as more information surfaces. Until then, enjoy the cool looking Love Beyond the Grave character posters.
Update, March 21st: Color me not surprised as, Ye Gods, the Chinese always seem to be on the ball when they talk about upcoming premiere dates (how on earth does this information spread?).
Yep, they were correct on this one as well as Tencent has now said we will be getting the first episodes of Love Beyond the Grave on… March 28th.
