Plot Synopsis
Set in January 1940, Abyss Dweller follows Liang Shuo, an underground operative who awakens from a blizzard with severe memory loss. Drawn to Shanghai by fragmented clues about his identity, Liang soon finds himself entangled with multiple forces, including the Japanese military, the puppet government’s No. 76 Agency, and the Chinese resistance as he navigates shifting loyalties and shadowy allegiances.
Misidentified by enemy forces and forced into survival mode, Liang slowly regains fragments of his past, uncovering his role within a critical mission.
As a “three-faced” spy working within competing factions, he must decipher friend from foe and prevent a looming catastrophe tied to a planned peace conference that risks thousands of lives.
