If you’re up for a true crime thriller involving corrupt officials (who isn’t?), the upcoming Chinese drama ‘In the Name of Justice‘ has a new poster out via the official YOUKU Weibo account today, with an announcement it will be heading our way soon.
Along with the poster, which features co-stars Zhang Yi (Be Reborn), Jiang Xin (Romance in the Alley) and Li Guang Jie (Wild Bloom), a message commented:
“Eradicating judicial corruption,

The account also announced the Chinese drama will soon be premiering on YOUKU’s ‘White Night Theater’ — the now-renamed Youku Suspense Theater.
In the Name of Justice production details
The Chinese contemporary crime-themed drama, which is titled 以法之名 in Mandarin Chinese, is co-directed by Fu Dong Yu (Being a Hero) and Zheng Shi Long (Faith Makes Great).
It is inspired by a true story.
What is In the Name of Justice plot?
In the Name of Justice began filming on March 4th, 2024 and ended filming on June 30th, and is set to run for 36 episodes.
The In the Name of Justice plot sounds interesting too, as a long synopsis was released recently, and it’s bound to interest anyone who loves a good criminal case to get their teeth into:
Prosecutors Hong Xue You (played by Zhang Yi) and Zheng Ya Ping (Jiang Xin) from the Haidong Provincial Procuratorate, along with Li Dong (Li Guang Jie), Chief Prosecutor of the Haizhou City Procuratorate, discover suspicious flaws during the reinvestigation of the “Wan Group Organized Crime Case” in Haizhou City.
They find that the suspect, Zhang Wen Qing (Dong Qing), has been falsely accused and framed, and that certain judicial personnel were involved in abuse of power and obstruction of justice.
With support from the Provincial Political-Legal Committee, Anti-Gang Office, and cross-departmental collaboration, they use tip-offs as breakthrough points and reopen the “213 Shooting Case”, all in an effort to dismantle the “Tianlong Group”—a long-entrenched Haizhou criminal syndicate.
No set premiere date has been set by YOUKU yet, but I will let you know as soon as it has.
