Plot Synopsis
The Road to Splendor follows Fu Tingyun, the ninth daughter of a prestigious noble family, whose life is upended when she is falsely accused of an illicit affair. Facing dishonor, betrayal, and danger, she is forced to flee for her life.
On the run, she encounters Zhao Ling, a bold and loyal private salt dealer from humble origins who unexpectedly becomes her ally. Though they start as reluctant companions, their shared hardships and resilience against family expectations and court politics slowly forge a deep bond.
