6 Sword and Beloved Cheng Yi stills drop – Wangquan Fu Gui in all his beautiful glory

Michelle Topham November 7, 2025

As iQIYI’s drama Sword and Beloved heads rapidly towards its finale, the Chinese streaming service has dropped a series of Cheng Yi stills you can salivate over.

The 6 new Sword and Beloved stills feature Cheng Yi as Wangquan Fu Gui, of course, and give us a nice look at how the protagonist has progressed so far.

The Cheng Yi stills also came with a note from iQIYI saying:

#Wangquan Fu Gui’s Breakthrough Countdown#

Surprise release of stills of Wangquan Fu Gui (aka Cheng Yi)!

Fearless of thorns, he wields his sword to break the deadlock! Only by fighting to the very end, and delivering the final blow to break through the barriers can he tear apart the long night and shatter the darkness!

Sword and Beloved has just seven more episodes to release, with the series finale scheduled to premiere on November 15th.

Well, with Cheng Yi as protagonist Wangquan Fu Gui, and the equally talented Li Yi Tong (who starred in the equally superb A Dream Within a Dream) as female lead Qing Tong, it’s no shocker Sword and Beloved has performed incredibly well, eh?

Since its premiere, the wuxia drama has been the C-drama streaming on iQIYI to reach 100 million barrage comments the fastest, with Cheng Yi’s portrayal of Wangquan Fu Gui also quickly grabbing 800 million character popularity points.

The drama also hit 8,500 on iQIYI’s heat index the day after it premiered.

Oh and, by the way, if you haven’t started watching Sword and Beloved yet, iQIYI’s annual November sale just kicked off with 40% off their Standard Annual subscription ($48.99 instead of $69.99), and with their Premium Annual subscription running at $59.99 instead of $99.99.
