Chinese historical mystery thriller The Wanted Detective (aka Calming Waves) has dropped six character visuals via the iQIYI Weibo account just a couple of days before the C-drama is due to premiere on the streaming platform.
Those six The Wanted Detective character visuals feature main leads Wang Xing Yue as Xiao Bei Ming and Xiang Han Zhi (aka Julia Xiang) as Zhong Xue Man , with supporting cast members Chen You Wei, Zhang Nan, He Luo Luo and Deng Kai also getting visuals.

The 36-episode The Wanted Detective is scheduled to premiere on iQIYI on August 1st.
The Chinese drama also features an excellent supporting cast that are likely to be as much fun to watch as the main leads.
They include Xiu Qing (A Moment But Forever), Wang Gang (Blossoming), Xu Jia Qi (The Land of Warriors), Shao Bing (I Am Nobody: The Showdown Between Yin & Yang), Han Yu Chen (Faithful) and Paul Che (The Immortal Ascension).
From the plot, which follows the framing of the nation’s best detective for murder, and his fight back to respectability, while also solving a series of strange crimes, it sounds right up my alley.
