Teen romance drama Our Generation premiered its first two episodes on YOUKU in China this morning and, in just a few hours, had already reached 6,000 on YOUKU’s popularity index.
But, if you’re outside China, and wanting to boost the drama’s popularity even more, don’t look for Our Generation on YOUKU, as the streaming service has already announced it isn’t being licensed for YOUKU International.
That’s why, depending on your region, you will find the C-drama on Netflix, Viki or, in very select regions, on Viu. Here in Austria, for instance, we have a choice of either Viki or Netflix. (Very surprising, as we usually get one or the other but never both).
With Our Generation already hitting 6,000 on YOUKU’s popularity index, we also got a sweet poster featuring leads Zhang Ling He and Zhao Jin Mai at their wedding to celebrate the milestone.

Check out the latest Our Generation visual (above), which came right on the heels of another celebratory poster as the C-drama also celebrated 3.54 million reservations right before the first episode’s premiered, and not long after it grabbed 3 million pre-orders.
That one is a ‘wedding visual’ featuring Lin Qi Le and Jiang Yao Xi, yep you read that correctly “wedding”, and came with the message:
