Amazingly, it was only two days ago the upcoming Chinese youth drama Our Generation had exceeded 2 million reservations on YOUKU.
And now, with just 24 hours to go before the C-drama premieres on YOUKU in China, it has now passed 3 million reservations on the streaming platform and counting. (Update: It’s now at 3.54 million as the drama premieres, and has already hit 6,000 in popularity).
Of course, this is likely to do with both the plot (written by Zeng Lu, who did such a fabulous writing job with Battle of Changsha and The Story of Ming Lan), and with its main cast that includes the always popular Zhao Jin Mai and Zhang Ling He.
In response to Our Generation exceeding 3 million reservations, YOUKU has also released another poster, this time featuring Zhai Jin Mai (as Lin Qi Le) and Zhang Ling He (as Jiang Qiao Xi) talking together late at night.
And, from the looks on their faces, obviously enjoying what they’re hearing.
YOUKU also commented about the drama:

Our Generation premieres on YOUKU in China tomorrow but, unfortunately, not on YOUKU International.
That’s why you will need to check Netflix, Viki and Viu as, depending on where you are located, one of those platforms should be streaming the drama. (Here in Europe, Our Generation will stream via Viki)
Each episode may just release on those platforms a few days after it drops in China.
