Yes, sadly, we are still waiting for an announcement as to when Cheng Yi’s upcoming The Journey of Legend will premiere.
Rumor in China, however, is that it’s coming some time in December, 2025. And, let me just say, those rumors are rarely wrong from the sources I use.
Fingers crossed the, eh? As this one has been a while in coming.

To show you just how popular The Journey of Legend is likely to be when it does eventually drop as well, it has also just been announced the Chinese wuxia drama has earned 5 million reservations on iQIYI and 5 million reservations on Tencent Video.
Yep, that means the drama has earned a total of 10 million reservations on both platforms.
Of course, a sizeable chunk of those 10 million reservations will be duplicates as fans reserve the C-drama on both platforms in order to push its popularity but, hey, it’s still exciting, right?

In celebration, a poster featuring Cheng Yi in The Journey of Legend was released for the 5 million reservations earned on Tencent Video, and a different poster for the 5 million reservations it has grabbed on YOUKU.
That was then followed by three other posters with the 10 million total reservations credited (see above).
All three feature Cheng Yi – but this time with his character in three different incarnations — Xiao Qiu Shui / Xiao Ming Ming / Li Chen Zhou.

Enjoy as, man, all these posters make the Chinese actor look incredibly hot.
And look out for The Journey of Legend dropping on either YOUKU or iQIYI (depending on your region) some time in the next week or so, is my guess.
