Chinese workplace-themed romance drama Irreplaceable (无可替代) has officially wrapped up its filming, with YOUKU releasing photos of the main and leading cast from yesterday’s wrap ceremony.
The C-drama stars Zhao Jinmai (Our Generation) and Wei Daxun (A Love Never Lost) in the main roles, and is currently scheduled to be a 24-episode series that will air/stream exclusively on YOUKU.

Along with the cast photos, YOUKU also gave a short synopsis of the Cdrama’s plot, and confirmed its main/leading cast members:

Irreplaceable is directed by Chen Ming Zhang (Double Happiness and My Boss), and was filmed from August 11th until yesterday, October 24th.
The Chinese drama is now heading into post-production but, as this isn’t your typical wuxia drama, which as we all know take eons to produce, we may just get it within the year. Finger crossed.

The Irreplaceable plot, by the way, follows the story of Xu Chi after her mother’s suicide:
After witnessing her mother’s suicide due to divorce, teenager Xu Chi (played by Zhao Jinmai ) vows never to be “the replaced weak” in this life.
As a graduate of an ordinary college, she eventually grows into a professional and outstanding consultant thanks to her extraordinary hard work and agility.
Meanwhile, Ye Xinzhi (Wei Daxun), an elite partner in the industry, was framed by his boss at the beginning of his career. After formulating a revenge plan, he takes the initiative to recruit Xu Chi, whom he has long been optimistic about, as an assistant, and continues to guide her to advance as a mentor and helpful friend.
The two experience ambiguity and temptation, but their relationship gradually deepens as they work towards their respective goals. Until both suddenly experience a career crisis…
Enjoy the Irreplaceable wrap ceremony photos of all the above-named cast members, and I will keep you posted as more info about the Chinese drama is released.
And honestly, I am not usually a viewer of C-dramas set in the modern day, as I am more of a wuxia gal myself, but I do like the cast in this one, don’t you?
