Stand or Fall, Season 2 began filming in early September
The romance/life drama Stand or Fall, Season 2 has wrapped its filming today, after a three-month filming schedule, with the production committee also releasing photos of the lead actors at the wrap ceremony, and confirming the C-drama’s main cast.
The photos released include male and female leads Qin Lan (Second Chance Romance) and Wang Yang (Hunting), who are reprising their roles in Season 2 as Guan Wen and Ding Ning respectively.
Alina Zhang (aka Zhang Meng) who, instead of the main role she performed in Season 1, has a small guest role in the drama’s second season was also present.
Other actors photographed are guest actor Zheng He Hui Zi, along with Jing Chao and Wu Yu Heng who make special appearances.
Tencent Video also confirmed the drama’s director Wang Wei, who is taking over direction from Season 1’s Wang Ying, and with Yu Qing writing scripts.
There isn’t much information out at the moment about the Season 2 plot but, with this being a contemporary drama and not a wuxia or a long historical romance that requires a long time in post-production, chances are Stand or Fall 2 will premiere quite quickly.
In other words, I guess we will find out then.
Season 1 of Stand or Fall premiered on June 18th with its 32 episodes running through June 28th, 2023. It currently has a 6.4 out of 10 rating on Douban, which suggests it is better than 58% of Chinese dramas released.
The Chinese drama’s second season is currently scheduled for 30 episodes, and will release on Tencent Video in China with WeTV (very likely as they stream Season 1) streaming the series internationally.
