Premiere date announced as December 9th
New Tencent Video C-drama Chao Gan Mi Gong (aka 超感迷宫 or Supersensory Maze for its English title) finally has a premiere date — with Tencent announcing December 9th is when the mystery crime thriller will drop on the platform.
Supersensory Maze stars Duan Yi Hong, Shawn Dou, and Esther Wang, with special appearances by Lu Xing Chen, An Yue Xi, Li Sheng, and Hu Hai Feng, guest star Liu Jin Shan, and co-starring Ma Yin Yin, Jade Cheng, Li Yi Nan, Zheng Chu Yi, Cai Xin, Dan Lin, Niu Piao, Ma Bai Quan (aka Mark Ma), and Zhao Run Nan.

And yep, this one should be incredibly good as it’s directed by Zang Xi Chuan, who directed the superb war-themed drama The Long Way Back, and
Tencent also hinted about the Chinese thriller’s plot:
On the chessboard, the human heart becomes the game. With secrets left unspoken, the hunt for the truth binds and tests them all — every choice they make will rewrite the ending.
What’s the Supersensory Maze plot?
The Chinese web series is one of those C-dramas that slipped through the cracks as it has hardly had any promotion since October, 2024 when it received a set of character visuals.
Hopefully then we’ll get a couple more marketing pieces before its released next week.
Meanwhile, Baidu Baike has the Supersensory Maze plot looking like this:
Detective Xu Jing Zhi (played by Duan Yi Hong) becomes troubled by doubts in an old friend’s case and, unable to shake the knot in his heart, requests to leave the force for further study.
Ten years later, believing he has finally let go, he returns to frontline duty, joining his ex-wife He Ya’s Major Crimes Unit. But the new cases are tightly linked and eerily difficult to investigate.
Xu Jing Zhi ultimately discovers that the mastermind behind them all, Zhuang Ming Cheng (played by Shawn Dou aka Dou Xiao), is actually “Lu Ran,” the son of the supposedly dead old friend.
Xu Jing Zhi plays along, using the trust of his superiors and teammates to infiltrate the criminal organization while also drawing closer to Zhuang Ming Cheng to keep him from sinking any deeper.
As the two men, who are technically brothers walking divergent path, clash through their cases, each is ultimately forced to make his own choice.
WeTV also uploaded a Supersensory Maze trailer to their YouTube channel a few months ago, which sadly is in 480p (it’s 2025 but…), but that makes the crime thriller look like it could be both gripping and stress-inducing.
