What begins as a routine investigation quickly escalates into a deadly trap. The case is a front for a larger conspiracy to hunt down members of the Zhang family overseas. To break the deadlock and give his partner a chance to survive, Haixia makes a sacrifice, sending Haiyan aboard the giant ship Nan’an back to Xiamen.
However, Haixia’s journey is just beginning as he faces a powerful warlord, a persistent young accountant, and a friend he hasn’t seen in ten years. As the voyage unfolds, so too does the true, perilous destiny of the two young men .
