Ao Rui Peng and Landy Li’s latest drama Coroner’s Diary is still heating up over on iQIYI, where it has been streaming since Sunday, July 13th, with today’s episodes (Eps 9 and 10) now moving the Chinese drama passed the 8,500 on the iQIYI heat index that it garnered yesterday, and on to today’s 9,000 in popularity.
And, sure, while 9,000 on iQIYI is nowhere near the 23,000 to 26,000 we see often for dramas streaming on Tencent, a 9,000 on the heat index for an iQIYI drama is an excellent number, as it means the drama is not only popular but grabbing a lot of attention.
In fact, any drama on iQIYI that hits the magic 10,000 number is one of the most popular dramas of the year. Bar none. Just to show you the difference between Tencent’s heat index and those on platforms like iQIYI and YOUKU.
To celebrate the latest Coroner’s Diary milestone, iQIYI dropped yet another poster of the four leads (above — in order left to right) — Shen Yu Ji, Landy Li, Ao Rui Peng, and Yu Cheng En.
The streaming service also commented on the drama’s plot:

with a reminder that new episodes of the historical mystery drama premiere every day at 6:00 pm (Beijing Time) on iQIYI.
Episodes 1 through 10 are now streaming on iQIYI for its VIP subscribers.
Now let’s see, after the next Coroner’s Diary episodes hit tomorrow, if the Chinese drama can climb to that magic 10,000 mark, right?
