A vibrant new visual has been released for Chinese food-themed, historical romance drama Yummy Yummy Yummy in celebration of the C-drama earning over 500,000 reservations so far.
The drama stars Li Yun Rui (Blossom) and Wang Ying Lu (When Destiny Brings the Demon), with an excellent supporting cast that includes Chang Long (co-star of A Dream Within a Dream), Feng Jia Yi (In the Name of Justice), Sui Jun Bo (Brocade Odyssey), and Dong Si Yi (The Rise of Ning).
The announcement of Yummy Yummy Yummy exceeding 500,000 reservations on Tencent Video arrived via the streaming platform’s Weibo account.
It follows on from the release of two character visuals for Wang Ying Lu as Shen Shao Guang, and Li Yun Rui as Lin Yan, which dropped a couple of weeks ago.
The C-drama, by the way, is based on the very popular web novel “Chang’an Small Restaurant” (长安小饭馆) by Ying Tao Gao (樱桃糕), which has a big following in China.
In other words, what with the currently extremely popular main leads whose careers have both been exploding lately, and the novel’s success, you can probably expect Yummy Yummy Yummy to be a big hit when it drops.
Rumor in China has it that might be some time in October. Fingers crossed, as this one looks like it might be more on the relaxing side, and fun.
(Update: Yep, Yummy Yummy Yummy premieres on October 9th. Yay!)
