Plot Synopsis
Zhu Li Zhi (played by Zhong Chu Xi), an investigative journalist known for chasing down hard truths, meets Wang Zhi Cheng (William Chan), a seemingly perfect cardiac surgeon. Under his gentle and attentive advances, Zhu Li Zhi falls deeply in love.
However, after marriage, she discovers that Wang Zhi Cheng harbors a pathological controlling nature, as he is jealous, manipulative, and emotionally destructive. Her idyllic life quickly deteriorates into a suffocating psychological trap because of it.
Refusing to become a victim, however, Zhu Li Zhi fights back against the unequal relationship, ends the relationship, and reclaims control of her own career, identity, and future.
The story is a tense, unflinching look at how love can slowly become a means of control. And how a strong woman can break free.
