A Chinese historical romance I have been keeping my eye on that hadn’t, as yet, received an official announcement of being in production is the upcoming Tencent Video production Overdo.
And today, thankfully, it is a C-drama that has just had three new posters dropped and an “official announcement” that Overdo has now begun filming.
Finally.
The three Overdo posters — one typical drama promo poster, and two character posters — just released via the Tencent Video Weibo account.
The first (see above), which promotes the drama itself, is a really quite beautiful poster of a colorful old clock.
On it, we can see the drama’s two main characters walking on its face between the two clock hands.
The man, dressed in a military uniform and hat in hand, is turning back towards the woman, as she walks away from him with her back turned.
Overdo takes place during the Chinese Republican era, so both characters are dressed in clothing from that era.
The second poster is an Overdo character poster for male lead Zhang Ling He. The 27-year-old Chinese actor is playing Murong Qing Yi and is dressed in a military uniform.
The third, and final, poster is for female lead Wang Chu Ran. She plays Ren Su Su / Fang Mu Lan, and is dressed in a flowing ballgown, covered by a short jacket.

Her face is covered by a short veil attached to an elegant evening hat.
