With the Tencent Video and iQIYI C-drama The Journey of Legend finally coming to an end (at least for people willing to pay extra for its final episodes — I’m not), it is probably not surprising to many viewers of the drama that Cheng Yi‘s character, Xiao Qiu Shui, has just exceeded 800 million character popularity points on iQIYI alone.
That announcement came earlier today along with three celebratory posters as Xiao Qiu Shui surpassed 600 million, 700 million and then 800 million character points (see posters below).
His 800 million milestone also came with a comment from iQIYI saying:

Why not just be free and easy in the mortal world, and turn into the breeze following the sky, and finally meet again after crossing the mountains and seas. The world is never far away.
Congratulations to Xiao Qiu Shui (the male lead of “The Journey of Legend”, played by Cheng Yi), the popularity of the character on iQiyi has exceeded 800 million.
As for the Chinese drama, Episodes 1 through 36 are now streaming for VIP subscribers on iQIYI and Tencent Video, while Episodes 37 through 40 are only available for an Express payment.
