Note: Transfer Gold Hairpin has been re-titled to Where the Mask Ends
Along with the first batch of stills dropping for C-drama Where the Mask Ends earlier today, YOUKU also released posters for the two leads — Tian Xi Wei and Yan An.
The two very extravagant looking posters were uploaded to the streaming service’s social media account this morning, while they also spoke about the C-drama’s plot, and confirmed its lead staff and cast:
#Where the Mask Ends Cast Lineup Officially Announced – “Gilded Radiance Reflected on the Sea” Posters drop
Behind a cool, austere screen, waves and sky are set apart—so too are truth and illusion.
A long sword in hand, standing alone amid the forest gleaming like molten gold, its sharp edge fully restrained, yet unsheathed.
Azure waters ripple softly as we quietly await the curtain to rise on a grand spectacle.#Where the Mask Ends# will be streaming exclusively across the web on YOUKU.
Director: Yang Long
Screenwriter: Zhou Mo
Art Director: Wang Yi Fan

Starring: @Yan An
The Chinese historical romance is adapted from the popular Jinjiang Literature City novel Jia Jin Chai written by Xiao Jiaren.

But, while YOUKU commented in their message the drama was “coming soon”, that’s not exactly true.
Where the Mask Ends only began filming in December and still has another month or two to go before that filming ends.
Add in post-production for a historical drama of this quality generally takes close to a year, it will probably be some time in the first quarter of 2027 at the earliest before the C-drama premieres.
I will keep you updated here on Michelle Topham as more information comes out.
Until then, enjoy those luxurious posters of Tian Xi Wei and Yan An as they really are beautiful.
