Upcoming Chinese historical romance Wish You All the Best (aka Biao Mei Wan Fu), starring Song Zu Er and Chen Xin Hai has dropped character visuals for the drama’s main actors via Tencent Video’s Weibo page.
Those Song Zu Er and Chen Xin Hai character visuals show off the C-drama’s sumptuous costumes, while celebrating today’s Qixi Festival (Chinese Valentine’s Day), and reminding us about the C-drama that just began filming early last month. and ended its filming yesterday.
In other words, it will be at least 2026 before Wish You All the Best premieres.

Reserve the Chinese drama now on Tencent Video
The drama is directed by Liu Guo Nan (Sword and Fairy) and Cong Xiao (The Glory of Tang Dynasty), and written by Yang Tao (The Legend of White Snake).
Along with Song Zu Er and Chen Xin Hai, Biao Mei Wan Fu also stars Chen Ruo Xuan, and Zhang Hui Wen, alongside a supporting cast that includes Vincent Cao, Xie Bin Bin, Cao Fei Ran and Zhang Song.

The 36-episode Chinese drama will air on Tencent Video and WeTV, but will likely be some time in 2026, at the earliest, before it releases.
Baike Baidu describes its plot like this:
Fuzhou’s Changle County is the base where renowned eunuch admiral Zheng He gathers and trains his fleet before his legendary voyage to the Western Seas.
While maritime trade restrictions have stifled commerce elsewhere, Changle alone thrives with bustling business. This coastal prosperity, however, attracts rampant piracy along the shores.
Pei You An (played by Chen Xin Hai), a Shenji Battalion commander who has come to procure firearms for the treasure ships, is invited to join a coastal patrol.
Unexpectedly, they encountered a fierce naval battle—Japanese pirate ships are attacking merchant vessels of the Ming dynasty, including one belonging to the family of Yan Huo artisan Zhen Jia Fu (Song Zu Er).
This incident brings the two together. Later, to help Jiafu escape a forced marriage by powerful authorities, Pei You’an enters into a contractual marriage with her.
