It’s Chinese actor Zhai Xiao Wen’s 27th birthday today, and iQIYI helped him celebrate with a festive birthday visual and a message:

as they also reminded fans his upcoming iQIYI idol drama, My Drama Missy, with Wu Xuan Yi, is due to release on the platform some time in 2026.
Zhai Xiao Wen’s career up until now
The now-27-year-old actor is still a relative newcomer to the Chinese drama industry having only appeared in his first C-drama in 2021 as Xu Zhi An in Unrequited Love alongside Hu Yi Tian and Hu Bing Qing.
He then had a supporting role in Falling into Your Smile, before he immediately transitioned into main roles in Sweet Tooth, Cao Xuanxuan’s Love Journey and Always Home.
Zhai Xiao Wen then followed those with support roles in The First Frost and Love in Pavilion, before heading back into main roles in Dream of Golden Years.
His upcoming roles include dramas like the aforementioned My Drama Missy, The Taste of Victory, and Summer in Your Name (although the latter has been in release limbo for a while now).
Sadly, Eternal Faith, a drama he stars in with Zhang Ling He is not ever likely to see the light of day, as it’s a BL (Boys’ Love) series, which is a genre that has now been banned in China.
Prior to all of this, of course, Zhai Xiao Wen was a member of boy band R1SE, but it appears acting has become his first love in the last few years. A very nice bonus for all we C-drama fans, eh?
