Tan Song Yun and Hou Ming Hao’s The Unclouded Soul has dropped character posters just three days before the new wuxia drama drops, while also confirming the C-drama’s full cast.
The Unclouded Soul character posters feature main leads Tan Song Yun and Hou Ming Hao, as well as main supporting cast Wang Duo, Huang Jia Jing, Zhang Xiao Wan, Guo Yun Qi and others, with 14 visuals of the drama’s main actors in all.
The Chinese historical drama’s latest visuals were released on YOUKU’s social media accounts with the message:
The deep springs of the abyss reflect the myriad aspects of human nature; in the vast sea of desires, true love is the only boat that can navigate the endless, bewildering journey, providing the strongest foundation to weather the storms.
This trial that questions the essence of humanity and desire is about to set sail!
The Unclouded Soul is scheduled to premiere on December 27th, and will be one of two Hou Ming Hao historical romance dramas airing this month, as his next drama Glory — in which he stars with Gulnezer Bextiyar is also dropping on December 29th.
Something that is generally unheard of — to have two major dramas starring the same actor being released within days of each other.
Especially as one usually beats the other in the ratings, and so shoves the second drama much further outside the general public’s watch sphere as is normal.
But as we, as mere C-drama fans, have no say-so in when Chinese streaming platforms release their dramas, I guess we will have to either find time for both or choose one above the other.
With The Unclouded Soul premiering first, and so having two days for Hou Ming Hao fans to become attached to it, my guess is it could very well be the winner.
We will see then as things progress, eh?
