Are you as thrilled as I am that Dilraba Dilmurat and Arthur Chen’s new fantasy romance drama Love Beyond the Grave has exceeded five million reservations, and has also been given its official premiere date — March 28th, 2026?
I mean, come on, both Dilraba and Arthur have been on a roll lately when it comes to standout dramas, haven’t they?
With Dilraba starring in the superb Sword Rose and in the sci-fi thriller Love on the Turquoise Land, while Arthur was the male lead in the smash-hit When Destiny Brings the Demon and in Love Story in the 1970s.
That’s why the cool Love Beyond the Grave premiere announcement poster we just got caused my C-drama-loving heart to surge.
Especially as it came with a sweet message from Tencent Video that made me even more excited for the series to drop:
Traveling thousands of miles beyond the dust and noise of the world, keeping one’s true heart in a single place—meeting once in this life, walking hand in hand together.
Production details for Love Beyond the Grave
Production-wise, the Chinese drama also has a team on board that should guarantee us this one will be something special.
That team includes director Zoe Qin who did a phenomenal job with Lost You Forever, and writer Tang Qi Cen (The Journey of Chong Zi). With those two positions already promising exceptionalism, I am supremely hopeful Love Beyond the Grave will reap the benefits as well.
Episode-wise, by the way, it’s on the longer side, with 40 episodes scheduled.
The Chinese drama also has an exceptionally good supporting cast that includes Miles Wei (who was a standout in the recent In the Name of Blossom), Zhang Li, Gao Han, Yang Xi Zi, Liu Dong Qin, Zhao Yi Qin, Gu Zi Cheng, Baron Chen (who makes an absolutely brilliant villain — I hope he’s one in this!), Xue Ba Yi and Ding Jia Wen.
WeTV also released a new Love Beyond the Grave trailer earlier today that, while sadly it does not have English subtitles, I will point out it does make the Chinese drama’s cinematography, CGI, sets and costumes look spectacular, doesn’t it?
So, as Love Beyond the Grave dropping this week and that epic trailer has made my day, I hope it has made yours. You can look out for the show’s first few episodes dropping on WeTV internationally on Saturday.
And yes, the production quality on this one looks superb and, from the trailer and other clips that have been surfacing, it does appear both main characters have strong personalities, and superb chemistry. Something we don’t get that often.
Fingers crossed then, eh?
