A new Happy Birthday poster has been released for historical mystery C-drama The Vendetta of An‘s cast member Ye Zu Xin.
The Chinese actor turned 41-years-old today, and appears in the upcoming YOUKU drama The Vendetta of An playing the role of Gu Yu.
Along with the poster, which appeared on YOUKU’s Weibo account and features a still from the C-drama of Ye Zu Xin as Gu Yu, YOUKU commented:

The now-41-year-old Quzhou-born Ye Zu Xin is known for his starring roles in Chinese dramas like the just released The Abyss, as well as Genuine Heroes, Promised Happiness, Youth in the Flames of War, and Spring of Life, along with supporting roles in Tender Light, The Legend of Heroes, Blossom and Snowy Night Timeless Love.
The Vendetta of An production details
The new YOUKU drama (titled 长安二十四计 in Mandarin Chinese) stars Cheng Yi, Liu Yi Jun, Wang Jin Song, Zhou Qi, Tong Meng Shi and Xu Lu.
Its plot goes like this:
During the Wencheng era, the elite Tiger Guard have entrenched themselves in the capital city of Chang’an for years, establishing deep-rooted influence.
Xie Huai An (played by Cheng Yi), the chief clerk of Huainan County, receives a secret decree from Emperor Xiao Wu Yang (Liu Yi Jun) and is urgently summoned to Chang’an in an effort to eliminate treacherous officials.
However, General Yan Feng Shan of the Tiger Guard (Zhang Han Yu), unwilling to relinquish power, rallies his forces in an attempt to split the empire and declare himself king.
Using the hidden military lanes of Chang’an as cover, he disperses his covert operatives throughout the city, biding his time for a counterstrike.
Production of the drama was officially announced as completed on March 26, 2025, and now we fans are just waiting for its release date to be announced.
It was officially announced that The Vendetta of An had already hit over 1 million reservations on YOUKU in China back March 27th.
