Considering the Ding Yu Xi and Ancy Deng-led Chinese historical romance drama The Road to Splendor only begun filming in late June this year, I think it’s a superb feat that it has already exceeded 500,000 reservations on Tencent Video.
Especially as it will likely be well over a year before the series’ first episodes are released.
Tencent Video announced The Road to Splendor had earned more than 500,000 reservations this morning along with a poster of leads Ding Yu Xi and Ancy Deng, and the message:

The Road to Splendor is being directed by Deng Ke (The Prisoner of Beauty), and is written by Nan Zhen (The Prisoner of Beauty).
With those two back collaborating again then, this one should be head and shoulders above the usual fare, shouldn’t it?
The C-drama itself is based on the novel ‘Hua Kai Jin Xiu’ (花开锦绣) by Zhi Zhi (吱吱), and is currently scheduled to air for 36 episodes.
