Chinese farming-themed drama This Thriving Land premiered on iQIYI yesterday and has already exceeded 8500 on that platform’s heat index.
It moved from 8000 to 85000 soon after Episode 8 was uploaded to the platform.
In response, iQIYI uploaded a celebratory poster to their Weibo account, and commented:

This Thriving Land‘s cast and plot
This Thriving Land stars Yang Mi and Ou Hao in the main lead roles, alongside Ni Da Hong, Qin Hai Lu, Xing Fei and Zhang Tiang Yang.

It tells the story of the people in a small farming community who, over several decades, brings the land to its most fertile by using revolutionary techniques.
Episodes 1 and 2 are now available free to watch, while Episodes 1 through 8 can be viewed by iQIYI’s VIP subscribers.
