Considering the ongoing iQIYI drama A Dream Within a Dream is one of the most popular C-drama’s to air this year, no, I am not surprised that, just three days after its protagonist Nan Heng earned 300 million character popularity points, the latest scoring now shows him already hitting the 400 million mark.
A 100 million character popularity point jump in just three days and an extremely worthy recipient as, not only is Nan Heng brilliantly played by Liu Yu Ning, the character is written so intricately, cleverly and humorously, he is easily a standout for character of the year.
Well, in my opinion, in a tie with his co-protagonist Song Yi Meng (played by Li Yi Tong), who is equally well-crafted and acted.
Nan Heng’s (Liu Yu Ning’s) 400 million character popularity points were reported by Tencent via their Weibo account, with a cute graphic of the prince holding the mask Song Yi Meng gave his alter-ego Li Shi Liu.
