Ongoing (but soon to end) Chinese parody drama A Dream Within a Dream has now earned 150 million barrage comments on its episodes, with a poster celebrating that achievement and featuring stars Li Yi Tong and Liu Yu Ning dropping this morning.
(**”Barrage comments” are those annoying real-time, floating viewer comments that overlay the video screen on streaming platforms like iQIYI, WeTV and Bilibili).
Now, personally, I hate barrage comments with an absolute loathsome passion, so turn them off on every Asian drama I watch but, if you like them and feel like this is something “meaningful’ for the Chinese drama then, hey, feel free to celebrate too.

Meanwhile, VIP subscribers get two more episodes of A Dream Within a Dream dropping on iQIYI in a few minutes (Episodes 33 and 34), with Episodes 35 and 36 being released tomorrow, Friday, July 11th, Episode 37 on the 12th, Episode 38 on the 13th, Episode 39th on the 14th, and the final episode (Episode 40) streaming on July 15th.
People willing to pay for ‘Extra’ will get the final six episodes a few days earlier.
