It’s just a week since we reported upcoming Chinese historical mystery drama Coroner’s Diary was celebrating 1 million reservations on iQIYI.
And now, today, after rumors in China have been rife about the C-drama getting a mid-July premiere date for weeks, it appears those rumors were true as the official Coroner’s Diary premiere date dropped today — July 16th, 2025.
That release announcement came with two new Coroner’s Diary ‘Snowy Morning’ posters.
And am I the only one who freaking hates those posters so many C-dramas release with the main characters either upside down or sideways, while the text is the right way up at the bottom?
Hate them. Hate them. Hate them.
So, yep, we have two new annoyingly-designed Coroner’s Diary posters out today to celebrate the official premiere date — one of Ao Rui Peng on his side as Yan Chi, and a similarly-designed poster of Landy Li as Qin Wan.
Meh!

But… the good news, of course, is that we only have just over two weeks to wait before Coroner’s Diary drops, and, with the C-drama’s premiere date being announced quite early instead of the couple of days we usually get, hopefully that means we will be getting a lot more cool promo pieces before it drops.
Let’s just hope any new visuals they create are not upside down, eh? Because, Ye Gods, why????
