Tencent Video’s upcoming fantasy romance Love Beyond the Grave wrapped its filming back on February 3rd this year, which likely means the C-drama will be premiering its first episodes pretty soon. (Fingers crossed, although there hasn’t been any news releasing about its distribution license as of yet?)
That premiere, however, looks even more likely today as Tencent released another promo poster of the two leads — Dilraba Dilmurat and Arthur Chen — along with a message informing would-be viewers that Love Beyond the Grave has just exceeded 3.5 million pre-orders so far.
That’s an extra 1.5 million pre-orders since the 2 million the C-drama had already earned in July.
The streaming service also gave hints about the plot with this:

What is Love Beyond the Grave?
The Chinese drama is a wuxia fantasy romance that is directed by Zoe Qin (director of the upcoming Tigers Sniff the Rose and the smash-hit C-drama Lost You Forever), and written by Tang Qi Cen (The Journey of Chong Zi).
The supernatural-themed series’ plot looks like this:
It tells the story of He Si Mu, a remarkably talented demon king, who unexpectedly encounters General Duan Xu while on leave and searching for food. The two cautiously interact, sharing their senses and understanding each other.
He Si Mu eventually learns about Duan Xu’s dark past and his aspirations, while Duan Xu discovers He Si Mu’s unwavering resolve and loneliness.
The story follows a mortal with a lifespan of less than a hundred years and a four-hundred-year-old demon who still appears as a young girl, as they use their love to resist the relentless passage of time and work together to protect the world.
Along with its superb leads (I am more than just a bit partial to both Dilraba and Arthur, aren’t you?), the drama also has a stellar supporting cast that includes Miles Wei, Zhang Li, Gao Han, Baron Chen, Liu Dong Qin, Zhao Yi Qin, Ding Jia Wen, Gu Zi Cheng, Xue Ba Yi, Yan Bi Guo and Yang Xi Zi.
