Mo Li grabs over 500,000 more pre-orders in just 9 weeks
Bai Lu and Ryan Cheng’s new C-drama Mo Li still does not have a release date but, with rumors in China currently pointing to mid-2026 as its possible premiere, Tencent Video has just released a new poster of the two leads along with the news Mo Li reservations have now exceeded 2.25 million.
That means another half a million people have reserved the Chinese drama in just the last two months since it hit 2 million pre-orders at the end of December.
The latest very sweet Mo Li poster came with a comment from Tencent saying:
Congratulations on #MoLi’s pre-orders exceeding 2.5 million! The enthusiasm of the fans has warmed this winter~ Gracefully arranging bouquets, happily admiring the beautiful woman. A tacit understanding, an unwavering affection.
And yes, if the reservation numbers are anything to go by, it is looking very likely that Mo Li will be very successful.
Bai Lu and Cheng Lei starring likely to make Mo Li a big success
Then again, it is Bai Lu and Ryan Cheng (aka Cheng Lei), who are two of China’s most popular actors at the moment.
And that popularity has recently been seen with Bai Lu starring in the just-ended historical mystery drama Unveil: Jadewind, which performed extremely well both in China and overseas, while Cheng Lei is the star of the currently mega-popular How Dare You?

Throw in that Mo Li is written and directed by the same folks who were responsible for hit drama The Demon Hunter’s Romance, and I’m not even a particular fan of either Bai Lu or Cheng Lei but I will definitely be watching this.
