Upcoming Bai Lu and Ryan Cheng drama Mo Li officially wrapped its filming today and, along with a slew of photos of its main and supporting cast, also released 10 stills from the just completed filming.
Those stills arrived along with a message from Tencent Video saying “Don’t ask where the clouds gather in the mountains; longing flows endlessly, never parting“.
They also titled the set of new what are essentially character visuals as ‘Mo Li: Scheming in the Shadows‘ stills.

As you would expect the 10 stills feature leads Bai Lu and Ryan Cheng, and also include Cai Zheng Jie, Xuan Yan and Qiu Xin Zhi.
The Chinese drama itself is still going by the title Mo Li, with no announcement yet as to if we will get an English title, or if it will remain as is through premiere.

If we do, something like a translation of the novel the drama is based on — ‘Sheng Shi Di Fei‘ (盛世嫡妃 or Imperial Consort in the Golden Age) by Feng Qing (凤轻) — is a possibility.
I will keep you posted here on Michelle Topham as more promo pieces are released.
I will also point out, if you enjoy an historical romance drama that features meticulous attention to detail when it comes to the sets, costumes, accessories and props used in it, Mo Li is looking very much like it could be a standout in that department.
According to various articles I have read on Baidu and posts on Chinese social media, production companies Tencent Video and Xinguang Pictures have spent huge amounts of money and time on the design of the drama, and in making sure every aspect in every scene is appropriate for the ancient period it takes place in.
Liang Tingting (Brotherhood of Blades 2) has also designed the costumes, and she is known for her elaborately detailed work.
Enjoy the very pretty Mo Li stills until the drama comes out, and we will see, eh?
