Plot Synopsis
Legend of the Female General centers on He Yan, the eldest daughter of the noble He family, who, to protect her family’s honor, disguises herself as her brother He Ru Fei and enlists in the military. Raised with the skills of both scholar and warrior, she first meets Xiao Jue at Xianchang Academy in her youth. Determined to carve her own path, He Yan leaves school and heads to the frontlines, eventually rising to prominence as the fierce General Fei Hong.
When her real brother unexpectedly returns and usurps her identity and title, she is betrayed. Reborn under a new identity as the daughter of a city gate officer, He Yan once again disguises herself as a man to join the Yezhou army, determined to reclaim her legacy.
There she reunites with Xiao Jue, now a powerful commander, along with allies like Chu Zhao, and together they navigate battlefield politics, external threats, and deepening bonds of friendship and love.
The series blends military strategy, court intrigue, loyalty, betrayal, and personal redemption with suggestions of a slowly evolving emotional relationship between He Yan and Xiao Jue.
